From a young age, Julia Groenhart's life has revolved around horses. What began as a great passion grew into a professional vision in which horse welfare, sport and management, training of high-quality horses, and personal guidance take center stage. With years of experience, Julia has developed into a driven professional with an eye for detail, calmness, and quality.
Who are we?
We, Julia Groenhart and Lily Koster, are the two faces you can always turn to at the stable. What started as Julia's big dream has now become the dream we are all living. What we want for our own horses, we want to make possible for all horses and owners. At JGD Stables, we care for the horses and unburden the people.
Our story
The origins of JGD Stables took root during Julia's childhood. From a young age, she could always be found around horses, and her big dream soon became clear: a sporting career in horses and her own stable. Both Jan Groenhart (father) and Lily Koster (mother) have always supported Julia in the steps she has taken in this regard. Meanwhile, Julia has grown from a "horse girl" into an equestrian entrepreneur, alongside her sporting career. We all have our roles, and as a close-knit family and strong team, we run JGD Stables. Our love for horses, combined with knowledge gained from university, (top-level) sport, and practical experience, results in skilled management where the well-being and health of the horses come first.
WE STAND FOR
A horse's health requires meticulous attention. What we want for our own horses, we want to be able to offer to all horses and owners. That is also the core of how JGD Stables came into existence.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Our vision has emerged from practical experience, (elite) sport, and academia. JGD Stables provides expert management focused on the health and well-being of the horse. We strive to always maintain continuity. In addition to expert management, we also possess modern, high-quality facilities.
QUALITY, WELL-BEING AND SAFETY
We are a 5-star boarding and training stable approved by the FNRS. Our standard-bearers are the big R's -> rest, rhythm, routine, and cleanliness.
