INSTRUCTION AND TRAINING

The lessons at JGD Stables are taught by Julia Groenhart. She is a certified ORUN 4 dressage competition instructor and holds an international trainer's license. The lessons are for everyone, from beginners up to Light Tour level. Julia has successfully trained multiple horses, both nationally and internationally, up to Grand Prix level. She also possesses extensive knowledge of biomechanics, and the lessons will focus particularly on "keeping it simple, but moving in correct engagement." Julia is happy to teach you that "simplicity" and enthusiastically takes the student, regardless of level, on the journey of keeping things simple and logically reasoning what is happening in the horse's body beneath you. "Once you grasp that, you know what to train on, and then the exercises are often no longer even the real problem."
